Now, more than ever, we need true conservative leadership in South Carolina. As we witness the growing debt and battle to increase taxes in Washington D.C. it should serve as a warning to South Carolinians that we must have true conservative leadership in the Senate to protect the citizens of South Carolina from an out-of-control federal government.
Our founding fathers understood the importance of the limited power of the federal government and the rights of individual States to create legislation that would secure the liberties set forth in our Constitution. In fact, no State has been allowed into our Union without first having its own Constitution. Therefore, if we are to save the Union, we must first save our State.
Many factors have been used to identify RINOs in the State Senate. Of course, violations of the Republican Party platform will serve as the most important measure. However, a lack of understanding and leadership of States Rights will also be used to indentify RINOs.
The entire South Carolina State Senate will be up for reelection in 2012. These Senators need to be retired or sent back into private sector jobs. In order to be considered a RINO a Senator must violate more than two of the planks of the Republican Party platform. When doubt exists on an issue the Senators will receive the benefit of the doubt. Therefore, if they are listed you can be assured they are RINOs.
Below is a list of the RINOs that need to be replaced in 2012. Explanations for each Senator will be added below their name and picture.
