Today is a great day for all South Carolinians. After a hard fought battle in our State Senate, we have a victory for State Sovereignty. This battle started during last year’s session and became bogged down in the “good ole boy” Senate.
After more than three hours of battling Democrat amendments the victory came with a vote of 32 in favor and 11 opposed. Because the language of the Senate Bill is different than the language of the House Bill, the Bill will have to be reconciled between the two houses through a committee. I don’t expect there will be much of a problem getting this done.
To our Senators that found themselves listed on the RINO HUNT website, I thank you for hearing our concerns and voting today to protect our freedom and the liberty of our State. In my best judgment your pictures have been removed. The reason is simple; the conservatives of South Carolina do not want the perception that you are our enemy for one disappointing vote. We will continue to grow our numbers and we will continue to track your representation and votes on issues.
To our citizens; there is a struggle that has become very clear. Two hundred and thirty three years ago, the people of our nation deposited their power into the bank of our government system. As we have watched our collective power being used foolishly and used against us, we have begun to demand a withdraw of the power that we deposited.
For many decades the power has been held only between two political parties. At times one or the other has held slightly more than the other. A new bank has opened. It is the bank of personal power and personal responsibility. It is our responsibility to oversee how our power is being used and to closely manage that collective power. Neither political party will want to give up the power that they have held for so long. It will not be easy, and it will not come quickly, but with the steadfast conviction and dedication demonstrated by our founding fathers, we will regain the power that rightfully belongs to us. Never forget, the power still belongs to us.
“The price of Liberty is eternal vigilance”.
